FAQ – Application

Who can apply?

The primary group of eligible applicants are Global Education high school students, students of Burch University (1st, 2nd or 3rd cycle of studies), and Burch University Alumni.

Also, companies who support other incubator companies or the university are eligible to apply.

How to apply?

First, contact the Incubator via E-Mail : incubator@ibu.edu.ba
You will receive the Burch Business Initial Application form to fill out and send back.
You will also need to provide a proof of attendance at a Startup competition (participation certificate will suffice), in order for us to know that you have some knowledge in the basics of new startups.
If your application is accepted, you will be invited back for the interview to discuss further details.

Do I need to register a company beforehand in order to enter the Incubator?

Seeing that students can join the incubator with their student projects, there is no need to have a registered company before joining the Incubator.

What formal reports are required for student incubator residents?

Upon entry to incubator your company will need to complete a 3 page business plan within 1 month (Template provided) and submit it to the incubator project manager. Investors often request this type of document as a starting point for capital raising conversations.  (Burch Startup participants have fulfilled this requirement but should continue to update their business plan to include current plans)
